About Tyler Jones
Tyler is a registered counsellor in Australia (ACA), providing trauma-informed evidence-based therapy for people navigating emotional, psychological and social challenges, from everyday stressors to complex histories of trauma. He has worked with clients in detention settings, refugees and asylum seekers, justice involved individuals, young people with acute mental health needs and neurodivergent clients.
Grounded in self psychology, he helps clients understand how trauma shapes emotional and relational patterns, while building practical skills to manage triggers, regulate emotions, improve daily functioning, strengthen relationships, and support lasting change.
Trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy and integrating CBT, DBT, ACT and attachment informed approaches, his work focuses on trauma recovery, emotional regulation, practical skill-building, and self-exploration.
Using structured goal oriented interventions, he collaborates with clients, families, support coordinators and multidisciplinary teams, including within NDIS funded contexts, to provide support that meets you where you are, whether you are managing everyday challenges or more complex experiences.
